Part 51 C:  Ah! Archrise! Part 51 C"But why would you bring me here?" Temeraire demanded, as she glanced hurriedly up at the colossal eye that was hovering above. "What are you hoping to achieve exactly, that you couldn't achieve on Earth?"
"I JUST WANTE US TO BE ALONE; IT WOULD MAKE MY NEXT PLAN SO MUCH EASIER!" And with that, she lunged for the girl, only for Temeraire to whip up her cannon and fire off a blast at the Empty. Penitence spun to one side, snapping open her wings to steady herself in the air. For a second, she hung there, charging a spell and sent a streak of bright blue plasma arcing towards the girl. Temeraire snarled and gritted her teeth as she was burned across her arm but ducked back and re-aimed her ship at the Empty, firing off another shell. This time however, she was right on target and Penitence screamed as the massive, nuclear shell took her left wing clean off at the shoulder.
"AHHHH! YOU BITCH!" the Empty screamed as she collapsed to the ground, writhing as she hurried to try and cauterize t

Dancing With the Devil
The bitter wind howled through the mountains and down the valleys of Jötunnheim, carrying a promise of snow. It was always snowing in Jötunnheim and little wonder; this entire world was one vast mountain range, stretching from pole to pole. Every mountain was as high as the highest of Earth’s mountains, with many being higher, all scoured clear of life by the constant wind and snow. Only in the deepest of valleys could there be life. Thin, sickly pines sprouted from the weak soil, growing for no more than a few days in each year. Few animals dwelled within these forests and those that did had to be as tough and unforgiving as the landscape in which they lived. Those that didn’t or which became too old or weak or sick would be killed, either by the weather or by the Jötunns in their endless search for food. Jötunns… the most vile of races. They were frost giants, created as servants to the original gods, the Titans
